Warranty
1. Objective
The purpose of this procedure is to inform customers and/or end users about the conditions and handling of warranties for products marketed by Fora SAS.
This policy applies exclusively to products sold through our direct sales channels and must be accepted prior to purchase.
2. Scope / Stakeholders
The policies outlined in this document are directed to consumers interested in purchasing our products.
It is also intended for the commercial and marketing team of Fora S.A.S.
3. Definitions
WARRANTY: A temporary and joint obligation of the producer and supplier to ensure the proper condition of the product, as well as its compliance with legally required or offered standards of suitability, quality, and safety. The legal warranty does not entail any additional cost beyond the product price.
QUALITY: The condition by which a product meets the inherent characteristics and those attributed through the information provided.
SUITABILITY: The ability of the product to satisfy the need(s) for which it was produced or marketed.
INFORMATION: Any content describing the nature, origin, manufacturing process, components, uses, volume, weight or measurements, prices, instructions, properties, quality, suitability, quantity, and any other relevant characteristic or risk associated with the product.
CONSUMER: A natural or legal person who, as the final user, acquires, uses, or enjoys a product to satisfy personal, private, family, or business needs not intrinsically linked to their economic activity.
DEFECTIVE PRODUCT: Any movable or immovable good that, due to errors in design, manufacturing, construction, packaging, or information, does not provide the reasonable level of safety expected.
SAFETY: A condition whereby the product, under normal use and considering its duration, provided information, installation, and maintenance, does not pose unreasonable risks to the health or integrity of consumers.
4. General Conditions
Warranty claims will be addressed based on the following conditions:
- When the product does not meet quality standards.
- When the product does not meet the suitability conditions offered.
- When the product does not meet safety standards.
- Claims related to quality or suitability will be resolved within 15 business days after submission.
Products on promotion or sale include warranty, unless defects or conditions affecting suitability were explicitly accepted at the time of purchase.
5. Exchange Policies
Product exchanges will be processed if requirements are met and the request is made within the warranty period.
Claims outside the warranty period will not be accepted. The warranty period begins on the purchase date.
6. Requirements for Warranty Claims
- The consumer must submit a claim (verbal or written) to the commercial team within the warranty period, including a detailed description of the defect with photo and/or video evidence.
- The consumer must provide the purchase invoice or identification number to verify the purchase date.
- Fora SAS will evaluate the claim and define the process for returning the product for inspection by the quality team.
7. Exclusions
The warranty will not apply in the following cases:
- Damage caused by improper use or failure to follow instructions for use, care, or maintenance.
- Unauthorized third-party interventions.
- Damage caused by force majeure or unforeseen events.
8. Warranty Coverage
If the warranty is applicable, the following actions may be taken:
- Repair: If repair is not possible, the product will be replaced with an identical or similar item.
- Missing parts: Missing components will be supplied at no cost.
- Refund: A refund will be issued in the following cases:
- When repair is not possible or the product is discontinued/out of stock.
- When a major defect is confirmed or recurs after repair.
In such cases, the consumer may choose between a discount on Fora products or a refund based on the purchase invoice. Refunds will be processed within 30 calendar days after request, provided the product is returned free of any liens.
9. Warranty Period
Warranty periods are calculated from the purchase invoice date:
- Furniture line: 36 months
- Planter line: 60 months
- Lighting accessories (bulbs, controls, wiring, LED strips): 3 months
- Cushions: 3 months
- Accessories (supports, bases, wheeled bases): 6 months
- Industrial line: 12 months
10. Validity
These terms and conditions are effective as of September 1, 2025.
11. Applicable Law
This warranty policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia.
